A New Angle for Picasso

Now open, The Frick's new exhibition, Picasso's Drawings, 1980-1921: Reinventing Tradition, gives superb insight into the progression of Picasso through his drawings. From his academic training reinventing previous masters to his iconic late works, the show highlights the importance of the medium to his cubist style. Not only are the drawings stunning but it seems impossible the simple lines could evoke such intense characters and personalities. The show will be on view through January 8th.

Third TImes A Charm For Jopling

To coincide with Frieze Jay Jopling launched his latest White Cube in Bermondsey last night, the third in London and by far the largest. The line stretched around the block to get a glimpse of offerings from the Brit pack such as Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst and Gilbert and George to name a few, proving to skeptics that British art can still draw the international art crowd.
