Helmut Lang Shreds 6,000 Garments in the Name of Art
World-renowned fashion designer Helmut Lang is diving head first into the art world this summer, debuting his first ever solo exhibition at The Fireplace Project in East Hampton. In a controversial decision, Lang shred the last 6,000 garments in his personal design archive to create the twelve sculptures that make up the exhibition, entitled Make It Hard. The unique floor-to-ceiling columnar forms will be on display from July 22nd until August 8th, so don't forget to stop by!
