On February 22nd The Rolex Learning Center is set to open in Switzerland as the part of l'Ecole Polytèchnique Fédérale de Lausanne campus. Japanese architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa/SANAA designed the structure of concrete and glass as a living and learning space for students and members of the technical institute. Situated amidst the Swiss Alps, the dimensions of the building, thoughtful curvature, light wells, and open spaces compliment the greater landscape, exposing the academic center to excellent views.
