Deitch at MoCA: 'Art Is Life' Dennis Hopper

Entitled 'Art is Life', Jeffrey Deitch's first show at MoCA will be a review of Dennis Hopper's work curated by Julian Schnabel. Hopper features his own energy as an actor portraying counterculture characters of the 1960s as well as his photography, pop art, and abstract expressionist paintings. The show is sure to be complete with rich cultural imagery and Hollywood favorites. Look out for a potential collaboration with Frank Gehry on exhibition design.

Louis Vuitton: A Passion for Creation

In just one week Louis Vuitton: A Passion for Creation opens at the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Celebrating the French luxury brand’s history of creative collaborations the exhibit will highlight the work of Stephen Sprouse, Takashi Murakami and Richard Prince. With archival documents, as well as their art, both Murakami and Prince are expected to be in attendance opening night. The installation is a precursor to the September release of Rizzoli’s Louis Vuitton: Art, Fashion and Architecture book, as well as the 2012 opening of the Frank Gehry designed Fondation Louis Vuitton pour la Création in Paris.
