Art & Fashion MOVE at PS1

On October 30 and 31st, MOVE! will debut in Long Island City at MoMA PS1. Organized by style journalist David Coleman and Visionaire Co-Founder Cecilia Dean, the event presents installations and performances created by world-renowned artists and fashion designers. Some of the notable collaborations include; Kalup Linzy and Diane Von Furstenberg, Rob Pruitt and Marc Jacobs, Olaf Breuning and Cynthia Rowley, and Dan Colen and Proenza Schouler. MOVE! Is part of PS1’s Free Space, an on-going program that provides gallery spaces for exhibitions and live presentations for “uninhibited artistic exploration and fresh contemporary art programming.” Watch the video clip for a sneak preview of Olaf Breuning's collaboration with Cynthia Rowley!

RE:FORM SCHOOL Pop-Up NYC

Last night in Nolita Terence Koh, Cynthia Rowley, Bill Powers and Kim Hastreiter were among the hosts for a preview of the RE:FORM SCHOOL, a pop-up art exhibition and public awareness campaign in support of Redu.com. Open to the public TODAY through this Monday, October 11th artists including Shepard Fairey, Swoon and Chris Johanson in conjunction with The Hole gallery installed new works in the former St. Patrick’s School to highlight the need for reform in the American Public Education System. With the belief that it is the right of each and every child in the United States to have access to a high quality education programming workshops throughout the weekend include print making sessions with Faile and break dancing class for kids and teens.
