Anselm Reyle x Dior Pop-Up Shop

For SS2012, Dior has partnered with Anselm Reyle on a vibrant collection of leathergoods, accessories and makeup, all of which made its exclusive debut at Dior's Miami Basel pop-up. Guests including Pharrell Williams and China Chow celebrated the collaboration with a VIP dinner during the fair, and guests to the shop enjoyed free manicures, exclusive dj sets and special artist appearances throughout the weekend. Be on the lookout when the neon camouflage themed collection hits Dior and Saks stores in January.

Mekanism Skateboards x Anselm Reyle

Ride or View? German artist Anselm Reyle collaborates with Mekanism Skateboards to create a skateboard deck artwork that contrasts two different artistic eras through color. Reyle uses neon pink, which recalls posters of psychedelic and punk scenes of the 70s and 80s against a muddy brown that can be seen in Postwar Abstract Expressionism. Mekanism skateboard decks and Anselm Reyle’s color choices make for a sporty and edgy canvas.

Anselm Reyle and Takashi Murakami Open at Gagosian Gallery Chelsea

Gagosian Gallery on West 24th Street was packed on Thursday night for the opening of a major show of Anselm Reyle's new works and an unveiling of Takashi Murakami's latest triptych painting. Berlin based artist Anselm Reyle's show is appropriately titled "Monochrome Age." His monumental sculptures with shiny, lacquered surfaces create vistas within the white cube of the gallery, reflecting its visitors and one another.

Takashi Murakami's 'Picture of Fate: I am but a fisherman who angles in the darkness of his mind' depicts the legend of the "China-lion" in his distinctive superflat style mixing American Pop with Japanese Anime and Otaku content.
